What we say
Smooth jazz, blues, and martinis in a New Orleans style bar.
Boasting an impressive menu of fine spirits and light food-fare, this music and dance bar has fun and ambiance.

Tressa's does draw straight and gay people and has some awesome music that starts at 9 to 10 pm. I've always gotten great service and drinks and the bartenders are very friendly.

I have to disagree with the last review. Tressa's is gay owned & operated but actually draws a more cosmopolitan straight couples crowd. Still, the place has great ambience with live music and dancing downstairs and a quiet, smoke-free lounge upstairs for more relaxed conversations. Gay friendly and worth the visit if you want to experience different aspects of downtown culture.

First sign there was trouble big bald bouncer demands cover to get in. Once you have forked over the cash you see that it's just an older building that is a dirty noisy DUMP! With warm expensive beer on top of that! Gay bar!? More like a tourist trap. Save yourself the trouble...buy a 45 an sit on the curb anywhere in town and you've found better ambiance. Went next door to Smokeys After Dark, which was also a dump, but at least the bartender was nice and the beer was cold and cheaper!
So, what do you say?
