CALLING ALL CULTURE CONNOISSEURS Pay tribute to your media heroes by creating 2D works of art based on your favorite TV series, musicians, artists, internet personalities, news narratives, books, comics, dynasties, brands, historical figures, poets, propaganda, podcasts, video game characters, etc. Entries will be displayed on the walls of Downtown Books and News on Lexington Avenue in Asheville, NC May 1 - June 30th, so they must be ready to hang. All media is acceptable. Generated motion graphics will be exhibited online and/or they can be printed out for display. Downtown Books & News reserves the right to exclude any work they consider unsuitable for the store. Submissions may be dropped off at the bookstore during the week of April 20-27. Artists have the option of selling their work. Downtown Books & News keeps 25% of the retail price. A contract will be provided when you drop off your work.
